JSC "Neftegazavtomatika" proposes a solution - an automated system for monitoring the occurrence of oil pollution of the aquatic environment in the area where the oil complex is located, ASK VZN, for the implementation of integrated control (monitoring) and analysis of exposure levels and the state of environmental components in the area of activity of the enterprise, including including the state of the surface water bodies used by the enterprise or located in the zone of influence of the enterprise.
About ASK VZN
ASK VZN is a part of the industrial environmental control (IEC) system of an enterprise - an integral part of an integrated environmental and industrial safety system of an enterprise.
ASK VZN is a system tool that allows an oil complex enterprise (production, transportation, processing and storage of oil and oil products) to monitor the moment of occurrence and the coordinates of the contaminated water area of a river (lake) in its location (influence), with the transfer of the resulting information to the relevant services of the enterprise (dispatcher, environmental protection department).
Expediency of application
Often, industrial enterprises are subject to unreasonable claims for environmental pollution.
In most cases there are 2 main sources of pollution data:
- lack of control in the enterprise. In this case, the ASK VZN system will allow promptly taking preventive measures to eliminate pollution and reduce damage;
- fault of an external source of pollution that is not related to the enterprise. An enterprise that uses in its practical activities ASK VZN will be able to promptly inform the supervisory authority about the presence of contamination and the coordinates of its location and the party of origin, which ultimately will prove the enterprise’s non-participation in the contamination.
Operating principle
As a means of detecting the presence of petroleum products on the surface of the water is used - the sensor of detection of petroleum products and remote optical sensor.
Purpose of the sensor:
- prevention of the threat of oil pollution of water bodies;
- early detection of oil spills on the water surface in the process of monitoring water bodies where oil products may be contaminated;
- formation and transmission of an alarm signal about the occurrence of pollution.
